This is the 6th pattern release in the ebook Just Playing Around.

There are two shawl patterns - both with the same base stitch but different edgings and treatments.

Most of us have single hanks of beautiful hand dyed yarn in our stash. Some we collected while on vacation, some we were given as a gift. This pattern is meant to make good use of such hanks. Not all hanks are the same size – my Rhinebeck hank was 150 grs and 525m, though most hanks are around 400m.

And in our stash there will be a collection of similar colours and textures, I mean, I look into my stash and I know that anything with a jewel tone will be there.

This pattern is intended to help pull together 2 hanks out of that stash, or really, those two hanks of yarn that you have been eyeing for just forever!

Both patterns are written and charted.

Materials:
Large Shawl – Rhinebeck - 600 yds for body, 400 yds for edging, sample shown was knit with Wollmeise and Biscotte,

Small Shawl – B.C., sample was knit with Fleece Artist Vine, Gwaii Haanas and Currant, needles for both, 4.0mm US#6 32-inch circs and dpn’s, markers and the regular notions.

If adding buttons to your small shawl – you will need 53 ½ inch shell buttons, sample shawl was embellished with acoya buttons.
