Mercer Jacket
Pattern Description from Interweave Online Store: “A ridged pattern, dotted with lace, trims this Spencer-style jacket in BIRCH. The cap sleeves and rounded collar have Edwardian appeal. Visible bust darts and pretty eyelets add feminine touches borrowed from lacy underpinnings.”
Finished Size:
- X-Small (Small, Medium, Large, XL, 2X)
- to fit Bust: 32 (35, 37, 40, 43, 46)”/81.5 (89, 94, 101.5, 109, 117)cm.
- Length: 18.5 (19, 19.5, 21, 21.5, 22)”/47 (48.5, 49.5, 53.5, 54.5, 56)cm.
Yarn: Loop-d-Loop by Teva Durham New Birch (65% cotton, 35% silk; 98 yd 90m/50g): #12 fuchsia, 6 (7, 7, 8, 9, 9) balls.
Yarn weight: #4 - Medium
Gauge:
- 18 sts and 26 rows = 4” (10 cm) in St st using #7
- 16 sts and 24 rows in Lace Petal st on #8 needle.
Needles: Size 7 & 8 (4.5 & 5mm): circulars, 24”/60cm long. Adjust needle sizes if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
