Little girls love to be mermaids! And who wouldn’t want to lounge around in this little cozy blanket wrap.

The adult version of this pattern.

The baby version of this pattern.

Great for role-playing, and the perfect gift for those who love to read stories snuggled up on the couch. The stitch is inspired by fishing nets, and the colors by the ocean - the blanket is simply gorgeous to wear - soft, stretchy and very cozy because of the mesh pattern which is light but traps the heat nicely!

The snuggle blanket is knitted in the round so that there are no seams and no sewing involved. The stitch is very easy to master and it’s fun to work - a very satisfying knitting project. Even a novice knitter could give this a go, although it is a big project so don’t expect to make it in an afternoon!

The pattern is sized for age ranges between 2 years and 14years and gives instructions for making custom sizes so you can choose from a range of options to get just the right fit. The fit of the snuggle is loose for comfort - it is NOT a fitted, figured tail so there is no real shaping involved, except for the tail and I give row by row instructions of that so it’s very easy to follow plus a stitch chart. The pattern is simple - easily mastered, and also includes colour photos to help you understand the stitches and techniques involved.

The tail is worked with three strands of yarn held together - 2 strands of DK and 1 strand of 4ply. It’s knitted on large needles so it knits up quickly. You could make it with Chunky or Bulky yarn but you’ll need to get the gauge right before you start.
