Metro is both written and charted.

Metro took two full balls of Freia Merino Shawl ball - with only a few grams of yarn left for the original and the sample. So if you are a loose knitter take your needle down a quarter point to 3.75mm (US#5) to make sure that you have adequate yardage.

Beads used - 250 size 6/0 or 5/0 beads – something showy. I used Czech glass pressed leaves. I used the crochet hook method and the 0.75mm hook to apply the beads.

Size - 19 inches wide point to point, centerline approx. 42 inches long, 62 inches full length point to point

Metro is a modern take on a rectangular shawl. It is knit from the center out to take advantage of the gorgeous gradients that dyers and yarn manufacturers are making these days. Not to say that it would not look great in a solid coloured yarn as well, the options are endless.

There are a few larger beads at accent points, but as always beads are optional.
