Even while working on my previous shawl I was already thinking about making another one, this time in blue, my shawl-loving friend’s favourite colour.

Upon inspecting my yarn stash I found lots of blue shades and a few of them gave me encouraging ideas. But then I glanced over at my “glitter section” and I knew right away what I wanted: to use the beautiful deep blue twinkle yarn that’s been waiting for the right project for a long time, and to turn it into a soft, feminine wave of elegance.

With the project’s similar motifs to the predecessor designing it was quick and easy, knitting it was a breeze, and the end result made me all giggly with expectation, knowing the exact expression the recipient would have on her face when she’d unwrap this large, glistening gem. I loved imagining her trying it on, all my stitches hugging her for me.
