In a park near my house is a 2nd Century shrine to the Roman goddess of wisdom, Minerva. She’s badly weathered and the outlines of her body are barely visible, but her impression is still there. Inspired by the remaining relief in stone, the Celtic cables of Britain’s pre-Roman inhabitants, and the columns of the Greeks, comes the Minerva hat, an intricately cabled winter hat that will keep you toasty on the chilliest of modern days.

Errata (Written Directions Only): Rnd 31 should read: (RT, p2, k3, C5BP, C5FP, k3, p2, LT) around. The chart is correct.

Thank you to telogirl2003, ravelling, sfgwife, amcgarrah, wlindboe, and JenAus0524 for test knitting for me!
