This pattern was a finalist in ‘Britain’s Next Top Knitwear Designer’ 2014 competition.
I wanted to knit a peplum top but I couldn’t find a pattern anywhere. Designing this has been a joy, knitting this has been a breeze and wearing this has been dream. I think the peplum design is perfect for the modern woman who wants to still feel comfortable whilst wearing high fashion. I think you will agree that this will flatter women that have had children or have more of a pear shape as well as anyone else.
This top will look good dressed up with a lovely pencil skirt or dressed down with skinny jeans. I am especially glad that the knitter can take designing into their own hands with this pattern by choosing to place the knitted leaves (which are individually knitted) anywhere they desire and not just be confined to how I have placed the leaves on the pictured peplum top. This top has an identical front and back and the neckline has been designed to slip over the wearer’s neck - simplicity in designing this was forefront of my mind yet I wanted to achieve the look of complexity.
