This pattern pays tribute to my days in nursing school. Knit and purl stitches knit up together to make a lush diamond shaped pattern, reminiscent of the valves of the heart. The cowl shape hugs close to your neck to keep out the chill on a crisp cool day. Fingering weight wool makes it a perfect knit to layer under anything without being too bulky. I hope you enjoy!

Any fingering weight yarn will work provided that it is similar in content to the suggested yarn. Costume / novelty yarn is not advised. The mitral cowl is written in one size, however, does come with instructions to customize the size to your comfort.
