Inspired by memories of growing up on Vancouver Island, I aspired to capture them in a squishy cozy cowl. As a young child, I loved watching the city lights reflect off the ocean water at night. This cowl combines intricate color work and simple patterns to ensure this is an engaging project to make.

Black Cat Custom Yarn – Double Double – 100% super wash Merino Wool (115 grams/280 yards/257 meters)
Color A: 1 skein Glacean (used 83 grams/206 yards/189 meters)
Color B: 1 skein Pink Elephants on Parade (used 67 grams/163 yards/149 meters)
Color C: 1 skein Roaring 20’s (used 76 grams/189 yards/173 meters)
Color D: 1 skein Stainless (used 49 grams/206 yards/189 meters)

Use any double knit yarn with similar fiber content to the yarn listed above.

Notions
Scrap yarn for provisional cast on, stitch marker, scissors, measuring tape, yarn needle
Additional circular needles to pick up the “live” stitches created by the provisional cast on.
