A scalloped edge and all-over lattice stitch give these mittens a rich and dainty look worthy of the lady of the manor. In fact, they are a relatively quick knit and quite practical when made in a washable worsted weight yarn. The yarn recommended here is especially lofty and really shows off the texture stitches.

Difficulty: Intermediate - requires ability to work in the round with dp needles. Familiarity with slipped stitches and increase/decrease skills are also required.

Finished measurements: Just under 8 inches in circumference and 10 inches in length (including scalloped cuff and 2 and 1/2 inches of the lattice as the cuff).

The mitten’s style and the stretchy fabric should fit most women’s hands, but ladies with wider hands may want to go up to size 7 needles and adjust length as needed. Suggestions on how to adjust length are given in the pattern.

Uses less than 1 skein of the recommended yarn, yardage given is an estimate.
