The true story behind this design is that I had some days off around the holidays and I wanted to catch up on a tv-series that I had been missing. And spending hours in front of the television meant knitting.
And not missing too many points in the series meant mindless knitting.
So, I designed this easy-peasy, TOP-DOWN, SEAMLESS sweater.

It’s perfect for tv-knitting, I promise! You need to pay some attention from the start of the neck, thereafter you don’t need to think much.
Maybe just the right thing you are looking for to start the year in ease.

And, if you are looking for a bit more challenge my tested pattern is on offer: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/twigs-of-winter-....

Sizes
Finished chest measurements: 89/95/102/108/115/122/128/135/142/148 cm = 35/37.5/40/43/45/48/51/53.5/56/58.5”

Materials
Yarn: for a chunky look, and a warm and cozy feel, I used Drops Brushed Alpaca Silk held double. For a lighter garment you might use the same yarn using one strand only.
You might use any yarn that knits up to gauge, but if you want the soft look and feel I do recommend a yarn with some long-haired fibres (such as mohair). If using Drops Brushed Alpaca Silk held double you will need 1120/1200/1260/1340/1420/1500/1580/1660/1740 m = 1220/1308/1373/1460/1547/1635/1722/1809/1900 yards. If adding length to body and/or sleeves you need to count for more yarn.
Needle size: 4.5 mm/US7.

Gauge
18 sts and 28 rounds = 10 x 10 cm/4 x 4”.

Construction and ease

The sample is worked in size 1, with approximately 10 cm/4” of positive ease.

The upper body is started from the back neck and sleeves. The first partof the upper body is worked flat and back and forth and with raglan increases. Increases are worked towards the front neck. When all neck increases are made work is joined in the round. You continue the upper body from RS and in the round, with raglan increases.
At underarms work is divided for lower body and sleeves. Lower body is worked in the round from underarms to bind off.
Sleeves are worked in the round from underarms to bind off.
Sts are picked up along the neck for the ribbed neckline.

Knitting skills: easy.
