A quick and easy design using chunky yarn or 2 strands of DK held together, the mock cable gives a little interest but it is still simple enough to knit without having to give it your full attention.

I knit loosely so used a 5mm needle but if you are a normal/tighter knitter you may wish to go up a needle size or two.

Ideal for stash busting, my finished hat (in 75% acrylic, 25% wool) weighed approx 50g. The stretchiness of the pattern means this hat will fit a variety of head sizes from 14” (unstretched) happily up to 23”.

Feel free to use this pattern as much as you wish (for non-profit purposes) but if you enjoy it, please consider making one for charity* or popping a few pennies in a collecting box next time you pass one.
Thanks

(Mine will be going to Knit-a-Square)
