Pattern description from Alterknits: “I love adding surprising or not immediately noticeable elements to my designs. From the front, this appears to be a basic tank. From the back it is a sexy, sophisticated creation that can be dressed up or down for any look from royal elegance to perfect punk.”

Finished Measurements: 34 (38, 42, 46)“ chest

This pattern looks like a regular tank in the front but from the back it laces up with a sewn-in fabric panel.

Yarn: Jaeger Trinity (40% silk, 35% cotton, 25% polymide; 219 yards / 50 grams): 4 (5, 6, 7) skeins. (Use double strand throughout.) Shown in #447 thrift.

Needles:

  • One 29” circular (circ) needle size US 8 (5 mm).
  • Two double-pointed needles (dpn) size US 8 (5 mm).
  • Change needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: stitch markers, stitch holders, 1/2 yard silk fabric, sewing thread, sewing needle, 54 approximately 1/4” metal eyelets (available at fabric and paper stores), 1 yard cord or ribbon for lacing.
