This lovely DK pattern was designed for my best friend as a wedding gift. I wanted to create something that was simple, classic, elegant, and cozy. Originally knit in my friend’s wedding colors, this shawl works up beautifully in any combo of 3 DK skeins, though the instructions give you some further guidance on how to pair colors that compliment and contrast in the same way as the original. The construction is a top-down shawl with three spines, creating an accessory that drapes easily over the shoulders and torso.
The pattern is named “Mon Chéri”, which is French for “My Dear”, and I hope it inspires you to create a shawl you love, for yourself or a dear one. This shawl was a token of friendship, lifelong love, and affection. I hope you feel all those sweet things as you knit it.

Yarn:
DK yarn in 3 different, yet complimenting colors.
Approximately 246 yards of each color, or 738 yards in total.

The finished shape of this shawl is a square with a slit through one corner to the center. Finished Measurements blocked is approximately 30 in x 30 in

Gauge:
Knit in stockinette stitch with US 6 needle blocked is approximately:
9 sts and 15 rows = 2 in x 2 in
