The Pine Cobble Hat is a love letter to many of my favorite things. Designed from our own sheep wool yarn line - Luxe Flock Sock- this double knit hat is slouchy, cozy, and perfect for everyday wear. The double knitting aids in structure and warmth, while the simple checkered motif is fun to knit and gives it a classic look. This hat is named for one of my favorite places on earth, Pine Cobble Mountain in the Berkshires of Massachusetts, where I attended college. The most beautiful October Friday was declared Mountain Day in an annual tradition, where students, faculty, and the townsfolk would hike, sing, and eat apple cider donuts together in an annual tradition. Pine Cobble Mountain posses some of the most beautiful views I have ever seen. Designing this hat, I imbued it with memories of autumnal love and cheer, for you to knit and bring with you on your own adventures!
