Almost a year ago I improvised a pair of fingerless mitts, using Cookie A.’s famous Monkey sock pattern as an inspiration. I’ve finally cleaned up my notes and turned them into a useable pattern, and I’d like to share my efforts with others! I want to make it abundantly clear that these mitts were inspired by/based on Cookie A.’s socks -- I didn’t make up the stitch pattern.

Also to note: I am not entirely certain about the gauge for this pattern. I believe that I tried to match the gauge of the original sock pattern, so that is the gauge I have listed. If it’s horribly off, please let me know -- I’m not a very experienced pattern writer!

I used just over one skein of KPPPM for these; as I have noted in the pattern, you could probably take out a lace repeat or two and make them with one skein.

-Uploaded version 2 of PDF pattern. The original version had a fairly substantial error in the thumb gusset section, not to mention some formatting issues.
