Chevrons! Rainbows! What could be better? Monstermitts are so quick using one skein of self-striping yarn and one skein in a neutral for contrast. The pattern offers you options for either a closed top mitten or fingerless mitt, both with a full-coverage, open digital thumb for answering your phone while keeping your hands warm.

Knit in the round, using a simple 2-row chevron pattern, alternating colors every few rounds without stranded knitting. The gusset is formed using symmetrically paired increases to accentuate the chevron pattern, so there is no designated left or right mitt.

Each pair uses about 150 yards, so you can make two pair if you use two alternating colors. Share with a friend!
