Mont Blanc Cake is a hat featuring a beautiful slip-stitch cable over a striped stockinette background.

Like the yummy French dessert, combining a chestnut cream purée with a meringue component and topped with whipped cream, this hat looks awesome, but isn’t complex to make.

The slip-stitch cable is worked only on CC rows, while slipped on MC. This technique produces a dramatic cable even on a stockinette background… that means that there is very little purling involved in the process.

And if you follow the Tutorial at the end of the pattern on working cables without cable needles, this hat will be finished in no time!
