Just North of my home is the much celebrated California Wine Country. Around this time of year the grapes are ripe and the vines are turning golden. The olives are in full fruit and the sun shine is bright and clear. This sweater is ideal for the weather this time of year and the colors are seasonable as well.

This sweater uses the fair isle technique for the pattern. It is knit in the round on double pointed needles or circular needles if you wish.

The instructions assume that you are using double pointed needles. For the sleeves you will have to switch to double pointed needles when they sleeves get too narrow. The shaping is a very basic drop shoulder with a rounded neckline. The armholes and neck are created using steeks.
