From the pattern description: Want to make a visual statement that everybody’s carbon footprint counts? Knit up a few of these handy snoods for trailer hitches and doorknobs to spread the word that it’s time to pay attention to this fragile planet. Mutha Earth is knitted in the round on double-pointed needles from the top of the globe down, increasing on every other round until you get to the equator. It is then knit back and forth to create an opening for the ball-mount hitch and ended by creating integrated ties on the last two rows. The continents are embroidered freehand in chain stitch after the knitting is complete.
