“Myrtle,” or “Myrten” in Swedish, is sold as a kit, and was designed by Kerstin Olsson ca. 1963 for the Bohus Stickning cooperative in Gothenberg, Sweden. The pattern was recreated in 2008 by Solveig Gustafsson. The kit includes enough yarn to knit any version of the sweater in sizes XXS to XL. Color yarns are hand dyed.

Olsson designed “Myrtle” as a green variant of “The Egg,” along with “New Azalea” and other versions not (yet) available as kits.

Swedish pattern directions are available in English free of charge with purchase of a kit, thanks to the translation work of Susanna Hansson, who suggests a donation to Médicins sans frontières (Doctors Without Borders). Instructions for donations, courtesy of the Yarn Harlot, here.
