A spacious knitting bag in a brickwork slip-stitch pattern. Knitted base-first with the body picked-up and knitted in the round with an i-cord cast off, and sewn lining. Finished dimensions are 40cm x 16cm x 30cm (16 x 12 x 6.5 inches).

You will also need:
One stitch marker
2 ready made handles
0.5 m cotton fabric in a toning colour for lining
Cotton thread in a suitable colour to sew the
lining
Card or canvas 32 cm (12.5 in) x 16 cm
(6 1/4 in) as stiffening for the bottom of the bag
