New Update: The Mystery KAL is about to begin! Just in case you need it, here is the link for the first support video.Video Clue # 1

New Update: The release date is getting closer! Chere just finished test knitting the pattern and when we looked at both of our finished projects our gauge was closer to 5 sts per inch but our swatch gauges were 4.5. I updated the gauge guideline to 4.75 sts per inch.

The hat style is very slouchy and I decided to add a beanie style version. It will take less yarn -- You should only need around 180 yards of the contrast color.

The first clue comes out on the 25th so come in and get your yarn!

The Mystery Hat Knit a Long is a color focused, slouchy style hat. You will want two colors of worsted weight yarn that have high contrast. Ideally, the main color is solid or tonal and the contrast color is variegated or self striping. You need approximately 150 yards of the main color and 200 yards of the contrast color.

The crochet hook and smaller needle are both used for the cast on. The size 6 and 7 circular needles are 16” in length. You will also need size US 7 double pointed needles to finish the hat.

This is an advanced beginner pattern. If you are comfortable with knit, purl, and decreases you will be fine. The pattern has really interesting, but really easy color work. You will only work with one color per row.

The Clues will come out every Wednesday and Saturday and will automatically update in your library.

There are videos to help learn some of the techniques, but feel free to stop by the store and we will walk your through the techniques!
