9,000 years ago, a group of Neolithic people left a hat in a cave near the Dead Sea. In 1983 archaeologists unearthed the hat, which was miraculously preserved by the desert environment. The linen threads makeup the remains of one of the oldest pieces of clothing ever found. This ancient hat is the inspiration for this modern knitting pattern

This pattern is knit in the round with worsted weight yarn for a quick and attractive hat. The pattern has some pattern elements that maintain interest.

Techniques: Knitting in the round, Yarn Over, SSK, KFB, Slip K2tog Pass Slipped Stitch Over.
