(from A Second Treasury of Magical Knitting) These three connected bowls have only one side and one edge - a single Moebius with three “swellings.” You can make nesting Moebii in sets of three, five seven - any odd number. If the number were even, you’d end up with two edges and two surfaces; not a Moebius and not magical. The bowls are graduated in size and may be nested inside one another. What’s the trick? You must establish three crossings before beginning to knit your MCO.

Yarn: Manos del Uruguay, (100% wool, 100g/138 yds, 8.5 wpi), deep blue, 2 skeins; blue-gold multi, 1 skein; 3 pieces waste yarn.

Needles: (you may require a different size to get correct gauge) size 11 (8mm) circular, 47” - 60” length, also 16” length

Notions: tapestry needle, stitch markers, 3 safety pins
