Whimsical and warm, these fingerless mitts are the perfect accessory to keep your hands toasty and your fingers free to flip through your favorite book, newspaper or electronic device.
The sample gloves are worked in Shibui Staccato, a fingering weight wool-silk blend with a luxurious feel. The “newsprint” colorwork patterning is fully charted.

One size - 7¾” around x 8½” long

– Main Color (light) – 150 yds fingering wt
- Contrast Color (dark) – 60 yds fingering wt
(as shown: Shibui Staccato, 70%wool, 30% silk: .7 skein –color 101 Ivory; .3 skein – color 11 Tar)
Needles
– Size US 2 (2.75mm) set of double points

For best results, it is advisable to make the main color dominant in this colorwork pattern. That is, if you use both hands in working 2 colors, hold the ivory (MC) in your left hand.
