CONSTRUCTION NOTES
This sweater is knitted from the top down. It is easy to knit and suitable for beginners. For those new knitters who cannot yet purl, instructions in bold and italics are provided to work the sweater using only knit stitches. The pattern contains short rows to be worked in the neck area and on the shoulders, which will require assistance from a more experienced knitter. But, using the technique of German short rows described in the pattern by the term TURN can be understood by adventurous beginner knitters with help from watching YouTube videos (search German short rows in knitting). Or, the short row shaping portion can be neglected for truly beginner knitters.
