The Nimbus Hat is a great cold weather accessory and it’s surprisingly easy to knit! The pattern looks complicated, but it’s just a combination of knitting, purling, and slipping a few stitches. This makes it great for all levels of knitters.
For this project, you will need US8/5mm 16” circular needles and DPN’s, a stitch marker, and a tapestry needle. A row counter is handy, but you can keep track of your rows with a piece of paper and pencil just as well.
The yarn is a 10 ply Aran, like the Red Heart and TLC yarns that are available at most craft stores. This hat takes around 100 grams of yarn, so it can even be made from the leftovers of a larger skien!
The hat can be made in two sizes: S/M and M/L.
