The gauge above is only a suggestion, your gauge may vary depending on what yarn and needles you want to use!

Nor Bandana is knitted top-down which means you cast on a few stitches and work the increases until you reach the desired length or run out of yarn.
You can knit it in stockinette or garter stitch. With or without i-cord edges. It can be in any size you desire, small scarf, bandana, shawl or even a little blanket to keep you warm! If you’re looking for a quick project to knit for your pet, this is it as well.
It’s a perfect scrappy project to make space for new yarn in your stash, who doesn’t like it, right?

Gauge: any gauge
Needle size: any needle size
Yarn: any yarn or any yarn combination

Techniques: knitting flat, long-tail cast on method, increasing, bind off method, wet blocking.

Modification ideas:

  • you can color block or use intarsia if you have a colorful idea in your head
  • if you want it to be a headscarf, you can add i-cord strings after binding off so that you can tie a knot
  • you can knit this bandana in garter stitch
  • you can knit textured stripes - alternating knit and purl rows on both right and wrong side
  • you can add crochet borders or i-cord edges once your bandana is finished
  • you can embroider anything you like in the corner or all over your project
