I designed this shawl to be child size. The smallest size is appropriate for children as small as toddlers but will fit even into grade school. As an adult I put the small size over my shoulders, it doesn’t wrap, but it will sit on my shoulders. The larger size will fit children from grade school age up to teenagers or small adults.

Finished Measurements:
39 inches wide x 19 inches long
This is a child size shawl.
44 inches wide x 24 inches deep with added section

Gauge:
20 stitches x 28 rows = 4 inch in stockinette stitch

Skills Needed:
Garter tab (there are youtube videos that show this very well)
Knit

Yarn Over
Drop Stitch
Knit two together

I used a hand dyed sport weight wool for my sample (pink/purple). You will need a sport weight wool that will block nicely for this pattern to really show off it’s detail. As you an see from the photos, a variegated or striped yarn really shows the shapes.

This pattern has full written instructions, but no charts. The pattern is very intuitive and easy to follow and is written by section.

This shawl is knit on US size 6 needles and with sport weight yarn making it a very fast knit. Most of the test knitters finished this project in an afternoon or two.

This pattern has been test knitted and tech edited to insure that it is as easy to follow and as correct as possible.
