This is Norm, the crocheted Normal Distribution. Norm is based on the shape of the Normal Distribution, also known as the bell shaped curve, or Gaussian probability distribution.

You only need about 20g of yarn to make your very own Norm, who measures just under 3” when finished.

As well as your choice of yarn, you will also need stuffing, and a tapestry needle.

This pattern is beginner/intermediate friendly, requiring you to know single crochet (USA)/ double crochet (UK), and how to increase.

Norm was made as part of a Masters dissertation and likes to help spread his love of statistics!

Norm has several other friends who are also crocheted probability distributions - see the facebook page for further information about their travels.
