The leafy tendrills of this brioche pattern remind me of the ferns that grow in our forest here in the Pacific Northwest. This reversible pattern is good for those new to brioche - with a long expanse of two color brioche simple stitch, followed by a section of interesting details (made with brioche increases and decreases).

Northwest Ferns is knit flat to the desired length and then seamed along the i-cord edge, making it wearable while still showing off the lovely brioche detail.

Special thanks to Nancy Marchant for the inspiring “Leafy Lacy 2” stitch pattern from her book Knitting Fresh Brioche. To learn more about Brioche, visit her website: http://www.briochestitch.com/
