The Ethereal Hat features a simple lace pattern. The yarn is a sport weight alpaca silk held together with a sparkly lace-weight thread. You could substitute a sport or light dk weight yarn for this pattern.
It’s an elegant addition to your cold weather accessories.

Yarn: These yarns are held together; the sample used 155 meters of each.

(83% viscose, 17% metalic fiber;

1 skein Lana Grossa Lace Seta Mulberry (35% silk, 35% baby alpaca, 30% virgin merino wool; 175 m/50 g)

Size:
18.5” (47 cm) circumference and is 9” (23 cm) from brim to crown when laying flat. Hat is very stretchy.

Gauge:
Hat: 24 sts & 32 rows over 4” (10 cm) in lace pattern on size 5 (3.75 mm) needles, worked in the round.

Suggested Needle Size:
US 4 (3.5 mm) 16” (40 cm) circular needle
US 5 (3.75 mm) 16” (40 cm) circular needle
US 5 DPN (or other circular knitting method for hat crown)
