This is a great project for those new to color work and intarsia.

Designed to be machine washable and optionally lined with either fleece or washable flannel.

This pattern includes color charts and helpful construction diagrams.

What do you get when you mix ducks, cuteness and rugged individualism? You get a baby blanket designed to induce smiles and keep the recipient nice and toasty. My sister requested “ducks” on the baby blanket I had offered to make for her new baby boy. I took that idea and kept running.

The title is derived from a Warner Bros. Daffy Duck cartoon and is a saying in my native Australia. The saying conveys the following:

“It is used as an indication that the speaker is not so stupid as he is being taken to be, or that he or she is too wise to the ways of the world to be taken in by something or to agree to doing something that is against his or her best interests.” So swim on little black duck, swim on!
