NURSE WENDY DOLL KNITTING PATTERNS
Nurse Wendy has a busy day, keeping everyone happy and healthy.
Wendy was a lovely nurse when I gave blood recently, we got chatting and she asked me to make a nurse doll for her daughter and here she is.
THE PATTERN INCLUDES: Row numbers for each step so you don’t lose your place, instructions for making the nurse and baby, 14 photos, a list of abbreviations and explanation of some techniques, a materials list and recommended yarns. The pattern is 6 pages and written in English.
TECHNIQUES: All pieces are knitted flat (back and forth) on a pair of straight knitting needles, apart from the apron straps and shoe straps which are single crochet chains. You will also need to cast on and off, knit, purl, work increases and decreases, and sew seams. This pattern incorporates a three needle join, and step by step instructions with photos are included.
YARN, NEEDLES AND NOTIONS INCLUDE:
- Three straight 3.5mm knitting needles (US 4)
- A 3.5mm crochet hook (US E/4)
- DK yarn (double knitting or light worsted weight); less than 50g in each colour
- Toy filling
