Odds and Ends Poncho consists of two circles joined at the shoulders. The circles are worked separately in the round from the center to the outer edge and in flat after the neckline decreases. Each circle is divided into 6 sections for XS/S/M size and 7 sections for L/XL/XXL size. You can use yarn of different weight and color for each section (marked on the schematic of the pattern) or just continuously join new yarn while working the rounds and rows. For the Section 3 – choose the lightest weight yarn (with the double in total stitches increase you don’t want it to come out too bulky).
We are all guilty of having too much of leftover yarn…This poncho is a great way to use it up whether it’s fingering, sport, DK or worsted yarn. Mix yarn of different weights, textures and colors to make up circles. The front circle does not have to match the back one!
This poncho is comfy and fun to wear with some tights or jeans, turtleneck and boot.
Have fun combining yarn and happy knitting!
