Olan is a new, adventurous knitter, and this is designed for him: an easy garter stitch triangle shaped with decreases and highlighted with a color-striped border.

Slipped stitches create textural stripes that run at right angles to the border. The cushy garter stitch makes this a great piece to wear at your neck or on your shoulders.

I used two skeins of Loft in the main color and a half skein for the contrast color.

Finished measurements after blocking: 48” wingspan; 23.5” back length.

While gauge is not critical, it will affect the size of the finished shawl and the amount of yardage needed.
