Description
Olivia is a cowl knitted flat in honeycomb brioche stitch and seamed at the back.
Size
The honeycomb brioche stitch produces a stretchy fabric so the finished cowl fits a wide range of sizes. Instructions are given for Age 2-9 years (46cm x 17.5cm laid flat) and adult size (110cm x 19cm laid flat).
Gauge
Tension is given as 15 sts and 48 rows to 10 cm in honeycomb brioche pattern but row tension is not important for this pattern. The aim is to create a soft, stretchy fabric that is comfortable to wear around the neck.
Materials
The cowl is knitted in DK yarn.
Yarn Quantities
The child’s cowl takes 116m/127yds of DK yarn and the adult cowl around twice that. Exact amounts are not essential since it is possible to work to your desired depth or until all the yarn is used up.
