This sweet topsy-turvy lady is equally at home on land or splashing around in the ocean. Transform the Little Mermaid into a magical Princess with a flip of the doll’s skirt.

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the doll is knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round). This pattern incorporates knitted stripes and stranded colour-work (Fair Isle knitting, stranded knitting, or colour-work knitting).

NEEDLES:
A pair of 3.25mm single pointed knitting needles (US 3).

RECOMMENDED YARN:
Stylecraft Special Double Knit; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; one 100g/295m skein in each shade.


NOTIONS:
Tapestry needle, toy filling, domed black buttons for eyes, a stitch holder and stitch markers, and pearl beads to make the princess’s necklace.

SIZES:
One size only - The doll is 23cm tall.

TECHNIQUES:
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
