Raspberries and summer! A lovely top to wear! I really do not want the summer, or the raspberries to end….
This top adds to the summer feeling - lots of lace, lovely linen and tussah silk blended wool, a comfortable, attractive and feminine top to wear all summer long.

Construction An easy, seamless knit.
Knitted on circular needles in the round and bottom-up to armpits where work is divided for back and front to be worked back and forth. The garter stich edges are made as you go, no picking up of stitches.
The raspberry-pattern (yes, it’s true: the lace really ressembles small raspberries!) is an easily memorized, repetitive pattern of 8 rows.

Design The raspberry lace is used at the hem as well as in the upper back and front it gives exactly enough see-through to be interesting, and yet not too revealing.
The shape of the top is slightly A-line - for extra comfort and a fluide line. The width at the lower edge is 19cm/7.5” wider than the bust-measurement - this goes for all the sizes.

SizesYou have 11 sizes to choose from, starting at size 30” to 49”. Because of the A-line shaped body you do not have to count for extra ease. I give you both a written row-by-row instruction and a chart for the lace.

Materials
Yarn: I used the Setalin from BC Garn, a sport weight yarn in a summery blend of Linen (48%) and Tussah Silk (52%). This yarn comes in skeins of 50gr/1.75oz and 187metres/204yards. You might substitute it for a similar yarn quality as long as you respect the gauge. You will need 4/4/4/5/5/5/6/6/6/7/7 skeins of this specific yarn to work the top- Needles: a circular needle 3.5mm/US4, 80cm/32” long to work the lower body. A pair of straight needles 3.5mm/US4 (or the circular needle) to work the upper back and the front. Notions: 5 stich-markers, separate holders, a tapesty needle, blocking tools. A row-counter might be usefuf.
