This blanket is definitely outstanding – and it’s easy-care, knit in a washable wool! The sheep is knit intarsia and then stitches are picked-up all round to make the field and fence. The picket-fence lace completes the look.

There are charts and written directions, but you should understand how to work intarsia, and be able to knit in the round.

The total yardage used -- MC: 375 yds; CC1: 490 yds; CC2: about 100 yds. The sample used KP’s Swish DK -- a washable wool. I used three skeins Peapod (mc), 2 skeins of Swish Bare (CC1) and part of a skein of Coal (CC2).
