This beautiful little Owl Family is sure to be loved by all! This pattern consists of 3 little owls - Mommy Owl, Little Boy Owl, and Baby Girl Owl. Because of their small size they are great stash busters! They are all knitted out of self striping yarn so there is no need to change colours except for Mommy Owl’s toes. This is an easy pattern for those with some knitting and I-cord experience.

Size: Mommy Owl is 14cm or 5.5 inches tall, Little Boy Owl is 7cm or 2.76 inches tall, and Baby Girl Owl is 4.5cm or 1.8 inches tall.

Materials: 3.25mm or 3US knitting needles and 3.25mm or 3US double pointed needles, 40g or 1.4oz self-striping double knit yarn (I used Elle Pullskein Double Knit Yarn in colour: Shrimp), small amount of dark grey double knit yarn, stuffing, 2 x pairs of 8mm blue safety eyes, straw hat 9.5cm or 3.75 inches wide, white hat 6cm or 2.4 inches wide, wire glasses 3cm or 1.2 inches wide, 50cm or 20 inches of blue 4mm satin ribbon.

Methods used: Thumb cast on, Knit or garter stitch, Purl, Stocking stitch, KFB - Knit into the front and the back of the stitch (increases by 1 stitch), SSK - Slip one stitch knit wise, slip one stitch purl wise, knit these two stitches together (decreases by 1 stitch), K2tog - Knit 2 stitches together as 1 (decreases by 1 stitch), Cast off - Cast off by knitting or purling two stitches then slipping the bottom stitch over the top one, I-cord - Knit a cord using two double pointed needles.
