Materials (besides yarn):
Double Point Needle
Cable Needle (optional, recommended if you use straight rather than double points for most of the project… or simply prefer to use one)
Tapestry needle
Scissors
Tape Measure or Straight Edge Ruler
Beads, Buttons, or Embroidery thread for owl eyes (optional, though recommended)

I designed this Owlette Headband because I’d been intrigued by the owl cable I’d seen everywhere, and wanted one for my head, but no one had designed one (at least that I could find here on ravelry), so I designed one myself. Using all sorts of techniques (and put in the notes) I’ve put into use for other headband projects.

I also designed this project to use up that scrap we all seem to have lying around after a project. So, your yarn usage and needle requirement may change depending on your yarn. Gauge isn’t critical in this project, it’s there to give you an idea of how I originally crafted it.

October 07, 2017: I realized just today that all my images for the project were hosted on a site that no longer allows it’s free users to host images for use elsewhere on-line. So, I uploaded them to a new location, and edited the page. So, everything is fixed (if it’s not, please drop me a Rav message or leave a comment so I can fix it.)

Thank you for your patience to anyone whose been trying to access the pattern before I fixed it, and weren’t able to see the charts or images I’d had on the page.

May 09, 2022: Just got a message about the page not being available. Will check into this. May take a few days to resolve. It is available from wayback, unfortunately, it’s pre-image update, so my charts won’t be available.
