The inspiration for this hat was a photo I had seen of an owl perched in a barn window which sparked a childhood memory. My grandmother had owls in her barn – and she would call us out to see the owls when they started to stir. It was always very exciting to see the largest owl perch in the loft window and regally survey his domain before going off to hunt. This hat is my interpretation of that moment.
