This is a modified version of the free pattern Tertian by Lara Neel. (Owly Tertian is posted with her permission!) The name of the pattern comes from the fact that a pair of sleeves is about one-third of a sweater; tertian derives from the Latin for “one-third;” and, this pattern basically makes a pair of sleeves.

You can use any yarn/needle/gauge, though these instructions are geared toward a heavy worsted. The original Tertian is written for yarns of weights close to DK.

Instructions are given for you to customize the pattern to your measurements, and the numbers of stitches and measurements sarah-marie used are given as well.

Stitches and Techniques needed: Provisional cast on, knit, purl, yarnover, knit two together, ssk, cabling 2 stitches over 2 others, grafting, seaming, counting.
