Bundle up in a chunky fringed scarf with a matrix of cables and openwork. The tiny two-stitch crossings can be easily worked without a cable needle, and yarnovers nestled in a background of reverse stockinette allow light to play through the deeply textured fabric. The fringe is worked in durable twisted cords for a playful edge.

Note: The Oxbow pattern includes both written and charted instructions for the lace pattern.

Yardage

525 yards of chunky weight wool yarn

Yarn

3 skeins of Brooklyn Tweed Quarry (100% American Targhee-Columbia wool; 200 yards/100g)
Photographed in color Hematite
Note: The fringe uses approximately 25 yards of yarn; if you are not making the fringe, about 500 yards of yarn are required.
