This may be knitted with one multicolored skein when you make the other end of yarn the base and other end the effect color

The weight of yarn is not important, neither is the size of your needles.

You’ll need:
Needles:
4 mm long circular needle
Yarn:
50 g fingering weight solid yarn for the base.
50 g fingering weight yarn for effects.

Special abbreviations:
LLI = K into the sts bellow, K into the st.
RLI = K the st, K into the st bellow.
M1 = K tbl into the strand between sts.

Gauge: 17 st and 35 rows = 10 cm / 4 inch after blocking.
Measurements: 60 cm / 24 inch in diameter after blocking, with 4 mm needles and the gauge mentioned.
