Palmer is a cozy, fitted cabled beanie with a pom pom for fun! Knit with an extra long ribbed edging designed to cover the ears, it is thick, stretchy and warm - perfect for a day on the slopes! The cable/ slipped stitch pattern is simple to learn and is both charted and written. Using just one skein of Knit Pick’s Wool of the Andes Superwash Bulky, Palmer knits up super quick, making it a great hat for gift giving or last minute trips to the mountain.

Finished measurements:
-Fitted/ woman’s beanie: 8 1/2” from top of crown to CO edge
-Slouchy/ man’s beanie: 9” from top of crown to CO edge

Additional notes:
This beanie can be cast-on with either a regular long-tail CO or a tubular CO for a more finished looking edge. If you use a tubular CO and plan on adding a pom pom, make sure you have a few extra yards, as the tubular CO uses a bit more than other cast-ons.
