A fast, easy beginner project. I wrote the hat pattern for the middle schoolers I teach. This was their very first knitting project.

This hat will fit a 21” head at a gauge of 4 sts to the inch. Pom poms are made with the galway, and sewn in place for the ears. The face is cut out from black felt and sewn on. A chart is included in the pattern.
