SIZES:

Toddler (Child, Tween/Teen, Adult)

Finished cowl circumference: 16 (20, 24, 28) inches or 40.5 (51, 61, 71) cm

Finished cowl depth: 5 (6, 7, 8) inches or 12.5 (15, 18, 20) cm

YARN REQUIREMENTS:

Approximately 100 (130, 160, 190) yards or 91 (119, 146, 174) meters of aran to light bulky (10-ply) yarn.

Size Adult sample is knit in Snefnug by CaMaRose55% alpaca, 35% organic cotton, 10% merino in colorway 7106 SOLSORT.
Any yarn of a similar weight can be substituted.

NEEDLES:

  • US 8 or 5 mm diameter circular needle (or size needed to match garter stitch gauge) in length 24” or 60 cm
  • US 7or 4.5 mm diameter circular needle (or one size smaller than above) in length 24” or 60 cm

NOTIONS:

  • tapestry needle
  • 4 stitch markers (including one contrasting-colored for BOR marker)
  • cable needle or dpn if needed to work cable

GAUGE:

16 sts x 32 rounds (i.e. 16 ridges) = 4 inches or 10 cm in garter stitch in the round using larger needle after blocking
